1. Privacy Policy (PIPEDA)

Habib Ur Rehman Bhatti ("we", "us") operates QuoteCompass.ca and complies with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). This policy explains what we collect, why, and how you can control it.

What we collect

Quote inputs you choose: age, sex, smoking status, coverage amount, and term.
Contact details you type: full name, phone number, email address, and preferred call time.
The rate snapshot you saw (lowest shown carrier and premium) so we can honour or verify it.
Your consent decisions (PIPEDA contact consent; optional CASL marketing consent) and the time they were given.
Anonymous site-usage signals (pages viewed, button clicks) via Umami Cloud. Umami is cookie-less and does not identify you.
Session heatmaps and anonymized replays via Microsoft Clarity, so we can see where the site is confusing. Clarity may set a first-party cookie. We never send your name, email, or phone to Umami or Clarity.

Why we collect it

To contact you about the quote or callback you requested. Submitting a form or tapping Call me is that request.
To send occasional rate updates, only if you separately opt in under CASL — unsubscribe anytime.
To understand how visitors use QuoteCompass.ca and to measure advertising. After you submit a quote or Call me request, Google Ads may receive a hashed phone or email so we can tell if an ad led to a real request. We do not send your contact details to Umami or Microsoft Clarity.

Who processes it for us

Hosting: Vercel hosts this site and serves its pages.
Lead storage: what you submit is stored in Cloudflare D1, a managed database.
Email: Resend delivers the notification that tells the advisor a request arrived. Your details are in that email.
Analytics: Umami Cloud and Microsoft Clarity, as described above.
Advertising measurement: Google, and only after you submit a request.
Compliance record: your request is filed in the advisor's licensed client-record system, because Ontario insurance rules require a record of the advice and the request.
These providers act on our instructions and may store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States and the European Union, where privacy law differs from Ontario's. By submitting a request you consent to that transfer for the purposes described here.

Optional OpenAI ad measurement

If you choose “Allow measurement,” we load OpenAI’s measurement pixel to record a newly saved enquiry. We send a random conversion identifier, not your contact details or insurance answers. The pixel uses an attribution cookie, the site origin, event timing and connection information to measure advertising. OpenAI may process this information outside Canada. We request that these events be excluded from future user-level personalization. No OpenAI page-view events are sent.

This choice is separate from permission to contact you about a quote or send marketing emails. We store your choice and its date in this browser. You can change it using “Ad measurement preferences”; declining stops future OpenAI conversion events. Declining does not affect your enquiry.

What we never do

We never sell your personal information.
We never share it with anyone other than the service providers listed above and the insurer you choose to apply with. Those providers process it on our instructions to run this site; they do not use it for their own purposes.

Retention & your rights

Records are deleted after 24 months. To access, correct, or delete your information, email habib@quotecompass.ca or call (647) 512-7271. We respond within 30 days as required by PIPEDA. Habib Ur Rehman Bhatti, Ontario, Canada, is the accountable privacy contact.

2. Terms of Use

By using QuoteCompass.ca you agree to these terms. The site provides comparison information about term life insurance. Other products (whole life, universal life, RRSPs, TFSAs, non-registered plans, and more) are quoted on a call, not as instant rates. It is not an insurance company, insurer, or broker of record; it is owned and operated by Habib Ur Rehman Bhatti, a licensed Ontario life insurance agent (FSRA licence #26250195).

No offer: Nothing on this site is an offer to sell insurance or a binding quote. Coverage is issued only by an insurer, after underwriting, and only when the first premium is paid.
No advice: Content is general information for Canadian residents, not personalized financial, legal, or tax advice. Ontario is the home market.
Accuracy: Rates are extracted from insurer advisor portals on the dated shown and change without notice. We re-extract monthly and correct errors promptly once identified.
Intellectual property: Site text and design belong to Habib Ur Rehman Bhatti. Rate data originates from the named insurers; trademarks belong to their owners. Carrier names and logos are shown to identify the insurers whose published samples are compared, and no affiliation, sponsorship or endorsement is implied. Logos remain the property of their respective owners and are used for identification only.
Liability: The site is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for decisions made solely on the basis of this information.

3. Rate Disclaimers

Rates shown are sample premiums extracted September 10, 2026, subject to underwriting. Not all applicants qualify. Habib Ur Rehman Bhatti is a licensed Ontario life insurance advisor (FSRA licence #26250195). This site may receive commission.

Premiums assume the preferred/standard class each carrier publishes and the exact age, sex, smoking status, coverage, and term displayed.
Annual figures are illustrative (monthly × 12); annual billing may be lower at some carriers.
A "—" means the carrier publishes no rate for that profile. We never estimate or interpolate missing rates.
When data is older than 60 days, a staleness notice appears site-wide.
Sample premiums are Ontario rates; other provinces can differ, and we confirm yours when quoting.

4. FSRA Licence & Commission Disclosure

Habib Ur Rehman Bhatti is a life insurance agent licensed in Ontario by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA), licence #26250195. If you buy a policy through this site, the insurer pays a commission; you never pay a fee. Commissions do not influence rankings — carrier order is computed from published rates for the exact profile shown. QuoteCompass.ca is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or owned by any insurer named on it. Confirm the licence on the FSRA life and health insurance pages.

Errors and omissions insurance

Section 13 of Ontario Regulation 347/04 requires a licensed life agent to maintain errors and omissions insurance of at least $1,000,000 in respect of any one occurrence, with extended coverage for loss resulting from fraudulent acts, for as long as the licence is held. Habib Ur Rehman Bhatti maintains coverage that meets that requirement. Email habib@quotecompass.ca to request the certificate. This insurance can respond to negligence or a breach of duty. It is not the life insurance policy, and it is not a promise that a claim will be paid.

Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation requires express consent before we send commercial electronic messages. The quote form asks for your consent to be contacted about the quote you requested, and where a form also offers occasional rate updates it carries a separate, unchecked box for that:

PIPEDA consent (required): permission to contact you about the quote you requested.
CASL consent (optional): permission to send occasional rate updates and tips by email. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every message or by emailing habib@quotecompass.ca.

Withdrawing consent stops future messages within 10 business days and does not affect the service you already requested. Every message identifies Habib Ur Rehman Bhatti, Ontario, Canada, (647) 512-7271, and habib@quotecompass.ca.

7. Accessibility

We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 AA: visible focus rings, keyboard-operable controls, a skip link, live-region announcements for calculator updates, reduced-motion support, and no horizontal scrolling on mobile. Primary buttons and form controls are at least 44px tall. Every other interactive control meets the WCAG 2.5.8 minimum of 24px, and links inside a sentence are exempt under that criterion. If something is hard to use, email habib@quotecompass.ca and we will fix it.
